June 1       NATIVE AMERICAN SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Our intention is to encourage and assist Native American Indians to complete their education. Tribally enrolled Native American Indians attending colleges, universities and accredited post-secondary educational institutions on a full time basis, are eligible for consideration. Each year Scholarship Awards of $ 500.00 (Five Hundred Dollars) are awarded to qualified applicants, with no more than six awards being given out in any one year period.

DEADLINE: June 1 2019 Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Award Nomination

This award is presented in memory of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to commemorate his belief that progress is best achieved through cooperation rather than conflict, participation rather than partisanship, and compassion and understanding rather than hatred and prejudice.

The scholarship is awarded to minority nominees who have demonstrated a need and a willingness to continue an educational mission toward a college education related to a career in the criminal justice field.

June 10       IRANIAN-AMERICAN SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Over a decade ago, based on feedback from students of Iranian heritage applying for undergraduate schools, it became apparent there were no permanent scholarships given by a group of Iranians in support of Iranian-American students. A small group of philanthropic-minded individuals in San Diego, California determined it was important to support students of Iranian heritage in their academic endeavors.

June 19       BIGSUN SCHOLARSHIP

The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. In order to do our part we are offering an annual scholarship to a deserving student. All student athletes are eligible for this award, regardless of which sport they are participating in.

June 30  EGC Women in Law Scholarship

The applicant must be enrolled at an accredited college, university or law school, will not have graduated by Fall 2017, and must be attending classes. This scholarship is only open to women. The scholarship will be awarded based on merit, need and commitment to helping others. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0. A transcript must be attached to the application for consideration.

Applicants must submit an official transcript if selected as a finalist.
